Brief the Exterminator About Any Children in the House

Before hiring any pest control services , inform the pest control company about your children and pets in the house. This is necessary so that the company is aware of it and can prepare their pest control services accordingly.  Work alongside the pest control team to take the necessary precautions before and after the pest control treatment.

Avoid Contact with Affected areas

Children and pets are curious by nature; as soon as they hear a shuffle, they immediately want to have a look at what’s happening. One of the obvious ways to keep them safe is by keeping them away from the treatment site. When getting pest control services at your houses do not let your children or pets get in direct contact with the affected places. Make sure they steer clear of the areas undergoing pest control

The chemicals and fumes can be toxic if inhaled by the children, especially if your child has any breathing issues like asthma. Don’t let your toddlers touch any surfaces that have been sprayed or covered in pesticides since it can cause pesticide poisoning . Moreover, be sure to isolate them or make necessary staying arrangements until the house is safe for your babies and fur babies as well.

Keep Their Toys Safe

Keep your children’s toys tucked away, ensure they are not lying around the house and especially in affected or bait areas. To avoid harmful chemicals from infecting your pets, be sure to keep their bowls and dishes also safe and nowhere near the extermination site.  After the pest control services have been completed, wash any clothed item that may have been around during the fumigation process.
